Bad girls of Bollywood

Many of the top actresses are now accepting negative roles, which would been considered 'offbeat' a decade or so ago. So here's a list of all the bombshells who, for a change, didn't mind playing the role of a perpetrator rather than a victim.

Priyanka Chopra

How can someone so hot be bad? Piggy Chops delivered a knock out-award winning performance as the sex deprived vamp in Aitraaz, a hit remake of Demi Moore-starrer Disclosure. She tries to seduce her own employee and when he resists, she accuses him of violating her. Remember her singing I Wanna Make Love To You? The film released at a time when gossip mills were abuzz with rumours of the Akshay-Priyanka affair. Recently Priyanka showed streaks of negativity in parts of Fashion. As the ambitious super model who loses sight of reality and is ready to go to any lengths to fulfill her dreams, Priyanka is already a favourite for the awards.

Bipasha Basu

Pooja Bhatt's Jism was famous for it's steamy scenes, even more so because they had real life couple John Abraham and Bipasha Basu in them. Bips has a stormy affair with John and convinces him to murder her husband Gulshan Grover, and make it look like an accident so she can get her hands on his wealth. Jism has some amazing dialogues but I can watch this movie on mute because of this Bengali bombshell!

Kareena Kapoor

Fida gave Bebo her first negative role, and that too opposite her then-boyfriend Shahid Kapur. Kareena gives Shahid a sob story and manages to convince him to become a part of a gang responsible for internet thefts. Though the movie didn't strike a chord with the audience, everyone still went Fida over Bebo's performance...

Urmila Matondkar

Urmila's performance as a jilted psychopath lover in Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya was really well appreciated by the critics and audience alike and she even recived many Best Villain nominations for it. . Urmila's acting was so convincing that Fardeen Khan and Sonali Kulkarni did a great job of looking petrified!

Katrina Kaif

Till Race came along she was only known for her glamorous roles... but this hottie pulled a surprise by playing a negative character. Katrina is Saif Ali Khan's secretary, and seduces him on Akshay Khanna's orders. It definitely worked in her favour, for everyone sat up and noticed Kats' performance despite Race being a multi-starrer.

Kajol

This talented actress should be given the credit for starting this trend among leading ladies... she earned rave reviews for her performance in Gupt that also starred Bobby Deol and Manisha Koirala. The movie has deadly suspense and it's only in the end that you (and Manisha Koirala) know it is Kads, and not anyone else who's on a killing spree!
